Graveyards Are for Old People

Old Lorimier Cemetery 04-12-2011

Graveyards should be reserved for old people. We shouldn’t be burying grade school kids. I don’t feel like writing anything tonight. And, please, spare me your political rants.

This was taken in Old Lorimier Cemetery in the spring of 2011. You can click on it to make it larger.

1967 Notre Dame Play

The negative sleeve said Notre Dame Play 02-28-1967, then the 02 was overwritten to read 03-28-1967. The Missourian’s Google Archive has big holes in it for the weeks around both dates, so I’m going to have to guess this is a production of Brigadoon. Whatever it is, there is lots of cavorting going on, seemingly to music. One thing that is readily apparent is that not every male is made for a kilt.

St. Vincent’s 1965 Basketball Team

Here’a a shot of St. Vincent’s Grade School basketball team from 1965, The boy in the front row, middle, is holding a trophy of some kind. (Click on the photo to make it larger.)

It seems like I’ve hit a string of sports negative sleeves. I’ll try to spread them out a little, but there is some softball action coming.

Lifesaving Class

I should have run these photos when it was unseasonably warm back in Cape a couple of weeks ago. They’ll have to serve as reminders of warmer days now that smoke is coming out of Cape Girardeau chimneys.

I’m assuming that it was a lifesaving class at Capaha Park Pool in 1964. I see some faces that look familiar, but I’ll let you put names to them.
