My grandfather, Charles “Hoppy” Herbst had a station(s) at Broadway and Henderson. He died in Sept 1954 and my grandma had to sell the equipment and close the station. I have been looking through old pictures from the attic and did not locate any pictures from the old station. If anyone visiting the website has any old photos, I would appreciate it.

I lived across from Brune &Eaker service station for years that I lived with my grandmother. I remember them from the time we would visit when I was young. I love your site I found it by accident. I went to Central but left in 1962,would have graduated in ’64.
